Lack of Posts

Hello, my dear readers!  Sorry for the lack of posting recently.  But, I have some good news, I got a new job a little over a week ago.  Last week I have been training for the job down in Anaheim which is quite a hike from my home.  There has been a lot of early mornings and sleeping earlier than usual for me going on.  I'm hoping that I'll be able to post some stuff next week as my body gets used to the new schedule.

The job I got is a truck driving gig.  I'll be moving from LA to the Tacoma, Washington area in a couple weeks.  Is anyone familiar with the Tacoma area?  I have never been there but, I really needed this job so, I'm taking the risk here.  Please let me know if any of you have been or lived there.  Once I start the moving process then there will be another lack of posting.  Stay with me though, once I get settled into the next chapter of my life, the Platter will be going at full force.

Congrats on the new job and new opportunity. New city, new adventure. Does this mean you are going to start rooting for the Mariners and finally give up the silly notion that the Dodgers deserve your attention? hehe

As the resident Mariners blogger, I know the area well. I moved up from So Cal 22 years ago. The weather takes some getting used to. Many weeks of grey will get you down.

Tacoma has it's areas that are very nice, and some that aren't so great. There are a few LCS's in T-town, but not too many. This whole Seattle-Tacoma area is sorely lacking in card stores. The Tacoma Rainiers are a great AAA alternative to the Mariners. Safeco is awesome, and Cheney Stadium in Tacoma will be nice when the remodel is done very soon. Are you staying local driving or doing long haul?

Welcome to the great Northwest, it will be nice to have some more bloogers here.
